Hongneung Arboretum is an arboretum in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul that provides a resting space for citizens.
It is said to be the first arboretum created in 1922 when a forestry testing station was established in Hongneung, Seoul.
According to KETA information, the name Hongneung Arboretum was given to the place where 'Hongneung', the tomb of Empress Myeongseong, queen of King Gojong of the Joseon Dynasty, was located.
It is said that Empress Myeongseong's tomb has now been relocated and only the site is marked.
It is said that foreigners who visited Korea through KETA are also visiting to learn about nature and the environment, and to experience the precious value of forests.
If you want to relax in the city while viewing various plants, I recommend you visit this place.
